Oleg Y. Kobyakov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Photo Contest “Woman Farmer: Faces of the Earth”, Director of the FAO Liaison Office with the Russian Federation, has delivered a welcome address to all those who have decided to take part in this large-scale project.
The year 2026, declared by the UN as the International Year of Women Farmers, aims to draw attention to the crucial role of women in ensuring food security and developing rural areas. In his address, Mr. Kobyakov emphasizes the importance of creating a photo chronicle that will forever preserve the images of women working the land, and thanks everyone who is ready to share their stories through the art of photography.
