Congratulations on International Women’s Day on March 8th!

Dear women farmers, participants, friends, and guests of our competition!

I warmly congratulate you on International Women’s Day – March 8!

This holiday always reminds us of spring, beauty, and love. But for me, as the head of the project “Woman Farmer: Faces of the Earth,” it is filled with special meaning. March 8 is the day when the world looks at you, the true heroines whose hands are creating the future of agriculture.

The year 2026 has been declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Women Farmers. And this is no coincidence. It is you who work the land every day so that we have bread on our tables and warmth and comfort in our homes. You preserve the traditions of your ancestors, pass them on to your children, and at the same time boldly introduce innovations, develop farms, and strengthen agri-food systems around the world.

Looking at your photographs – portraits on the land, in work clothes imbued with earth and sweat, or in traditional attire highlighting your cultural roots – I am convinced every time: you are not just farmers. You are the Faces of the Earth. You are the embodiment of resilience, wisdom, and incredible strength of spirit.

Thank you for sharing your stories, for your openness, for every frame that shows the world the true beauty of agricultural labor. You inspire us to continue our common cause – to create a photo chronicle that will forever preserve the memory of women whose contribution is so vital for all of us.

On this beautiful spring day, I wish you the most important thing – harmony in your souls and bountiful harvests. May your land always be fertile, may your work bring joy and prosperity, and may your homes always be filled with the warmth and love of your loved ones. May every one of your days be filled with pride in your work, smiles, and pleasant surprises.

Remain as wonderful, strong, and inspired!

With love and gratitude,
Head of the International Photo Contest “Woman Farmer: Faces of the Earth”,
President of the Regional Public Organization “International Women’s Union”
